Lift tab on an air fryer parchment liner, close up

Air Fryer Parchment Liners with Lift Tabs for Basket Fryers

Air fryer parchment liners are unbleached parchment discs with two tabs that let you lift food out of the basket in one move. They catch drips and crumbs so the basket needs a wipe, not a scrub, between batches.

From $0.30 a liner. Written quote in one business day and a free design proof.

Air fryer paper liners are flat parchment rounds, or a 9 in square, cut to the basket floor of a countertop air fryer and fitted with two lift tabs. Food sits on the liner, hot air moves around it, and the tabs lift the whole batch out. They are single use and replace basket scrubbing in a busy kitchen.

Why liners with lift tabs

Pulling a batch of glazed wings out of a hot basket with tongs breaks the food and leaves the glaze on the mesh. Two paper tabs lift the whole batch at once, food and drips together.

In the basket the liner lies flat under the food while the fan does its work above. Cheese, butter and sugar land on the paper, and the basket goes back for the next order without a trip to the sink.

Measure the flat floor of your basket before you order, not the top opening. Baskets flare, and a liner cut to the rim climbs the wall and blocks the air.

What air fryer parchment liners are and who buys them

An air fryer parchment liner is a flat disc of parchment with two tabs sticking out on opposite sides, as in the photos. The disc covers the basket floor; the tabs stand up the basket wall so you can grab them with tongs or fingers.

Ghost kitchens and meal-prep operations that reheat and crisp in a row of countertop air fryers are the main buyers. Each order goes in on a fresh liner, comes out by the tabs, and the basket is ready again in seconds.

Cafés crisping pastries, food trucks running a countertop unit off a generator, and food brands that pack a branded liner inside a reheat-at-home meal kit also order them by the thousand.

Which liner fits a 5 to 6 quart basket?

Usually the 7.5 in round, which is why it is the usual pick. Basket sizes are not standard, so measure the flat floor of your basket and choose the liner that leaves about a half inch of basket showing all around.

LinerBasket floor it suitsNotes
6.5 in roundSmall baskets, about 2 to 4 quartSingle portions, one pastry at a time
7.5 in roundMid baskets, about 5 to 6 quart; the usual pickThe common countertop size
8.5 in roundLarge baskets, about 7 to 8 quartFamily and dual-zone units
9 in squareSquare-floor baskets and toaster-style unitsCorners reach the basket corners

A liner that touches the wall all the way around blocks the airflow; one that leaves a gap crisps better. The parchment size guide for pans and baskets shows how to take the measurement.

How does a parchment liner behave in moving hot air?

An air fryer is a small convection oven with a strong fan and an element close above the basket. A liner with food on it stays put; the weight pins it to the floor and the air works over and around the food.

An empty liner is a different matter. The fan lifts it, it rises toward the element, and parchment that touches a heating element scorches. Never preheat with a liner in the basket, and never run a liner without food on it.

Typical figures put unbleached parchment at 420°F. Most air fryer settings top out at 400°F, which leaves a margin, but the temperature limits for parchment paper page is worth a read before you run the top setting with a thin liner.

Round with tabs or 9 in square?

Round liners with tabs suit the basket-style fryer most kitchens own. The tabs give you a handle, and the round edge sits inside a round basket without folding.

The 9 in square is for square-floor baskets and the toaster-style units with a slide-in tray. It has no tabs; you slide the tray out and lift food with a spatula. Folding a square into a round basket leaves creases that trap grease, so match the shape to the floor.

Plain discs without tabs exist too, and for a bake that comes out by the pan they cost less. For a basket, tabs earn their keep on the first hot batch. Discs without tabs live on the parchment rounds for cake pans page.

Unbleached or white, silicone or Quilon

The liners photographed are unbleached, the kraft tone, with a silicone coating on the food side. That is the pick for release: wings with a sticky glaze, cheese that runs off a reheated slice, and sugar from a pastry all lift off clean.

Bleached white liners look brighter under a camera and in a meal-kit box, and they take color print better. Quilon-coated liners cost less per piece and suit dry jobs like fries and nuggets where nothing sticks hard.

The liner is stiff for parchment, about 35 to 45 lb basis weight, because a floppy tab is no use when the food is hot. The silicone versus Quilon versus unbleached guide goes deeper on coatings.

Printing a logo on an air fryer liner

A printed liner is the one piece of a reheat-at-home meal kit the customer actually handles, so brands put the logo and a reheating note on it. The print goes on the underside, the face away from the food, and shows when the liner is pulled from the box.

Food-safe soy and water-based inks, 1 to 4 colors, matched to Pantone solid-coated references. One dark color on unbleached reads well; fine reversed-out type does not. Tabs can carry a short instruction, such as a time and a temperature, in a single line.

Vector artwork, text no smaller than 8 pt, and a quarter-inch margin from the die line. See the parchment logo printing artwork guide for file setup.

What the liner does for common air fryer jobs

Six jobs where the liner changes the clean-up or the result.

  • Reheating pizza and sandwiches: cheese and grease stay on the liner, not the basket mesh.
  • Pastries and croissants: butter that leaks out pools on the paper instead of smoking on the floor.
  • Glazed wings and ribs: the silicone face releases the glaze; lift by the tabs and the batch goes straight to the box.
  • Fish fillets: a flat liner stops thin fillets breaking through the mesh when you lift them.
  • Fries and nuggets: fewer crumbs in the drawer, though a flat liner slows crisping on the underside; shake halfway.
  • Meal kits: a printed liner tells the customer the time and temperature and keeps their own basket clean.

Mistakes to avoid with air fryer liners

Preheating with the liner in. This is the one that scorches paper. Preheat empty, then drop the loaded liner in by its tabs.

Oversizing. A liner that climbs the wall blocks the air path and leaves the center soggy. The half inch of gap is doing a job.

Stacking food high on the tabs. The tabs lift a single layer; a double layer of wings tears a tab and the batch tips. Use two liners and two batches.

Reusing a greasy liner. These are single use by design; a second run on a grease-soaked liner smokes.

Air Fryer Parchment Liners questions

What sizes do air fryer parchment liners come in?

6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 in rounds with lift tabs, plus a 9 in square. 7.5 in is the usual pick for a 5 to 6 quart basket.

Do air fryer liners have holes in them?

The standard liner is flat with no holes, so drips stay on the paper. Perforated liners are a custom cut; ask on the quote.

Can I preheat the air fryer with a liner in the basket?

No. An empty liner lifts into the heating element and scorches. Preheat empty, then put the loaded liner in.

What temperature can an air fryer parchment liner take?

About 420°F for unbleached, which is above the 400°F most countertop units reach. Keep it away from the element and never run it empty.

How do the lift tabs on the liner work?

Two tabs stand up the basket wall on opposite sides. Pinch both with tongs or fingers and the liner lifts out with the food on it.

Are air fryer liners single use?

Yes. A liner that has held grease or glaze smokes on a second run. Dry jobs such as toast can sometimes go twice, but we do not recommend it.

Can the liners be printed with a brand or reheating instructions?

Yes, on the face away from the food, in 1 to 4 food-safe colors. Tabs can carry a one-line time and temperature.

Will a liner make my fries less crispy?

Slightly on the underside, because the flat liner blocks air from below. Shake halfway through and leave a gap around the edge.

What is the minimum order for air fryer parchment liners?

1,000 liners, which can be split across sizes. Each size and print is one line on the quote.

How do I measure my basket for a liner?

Measure the flat floor of the basket, not the top rim, and choose a liner about a half inch smaller than that measurement.

Can the 9 in square liner be used in a round basket?

It can be folded in, but the creases trap grease and block air. Use a round liner for a round basket.

How quickly do air fryer liners ship?

Production is 4 to 6 business days once the proof is approved. Free tracked delivery adds 2 to 3 business days to any US address.
