Terms of sale
Plain-English terms for quotes, proofs, payment, production, delivery and reprints.
Quotes and acceptance
Every order begins with a written quote sent by email. The quote states the paper, coating, size, count, print, price, production time and delivery window. It stays open until the date printed on it.
You accept a quote by replying in writing or by approving the proof that follows it. Until then nothing is cut, printed or charged, and either side can walk away.
Proofs and approval
Printed orders receive a PDF proof showing your artwork on the sheet at scale. You can ask for edits without limit. The order moves to production only when you approve a proof in writing.
An approved proof is the standard the finished print is checked against. Text, color references, placement and size on the approved proof are your responsibility to check.
Invoicing and payment by invoice
Once you approve the quote and the proof we issue an invoice for the order. Payment is by invoice, by the method and on the terms stated on it. There is no online store and no card form on the site.
If an invoice is not paid by its due date we may hold dispatch of the order until it is.
Production and lead time
Production takes 4 to 6 business days after proof approval, or after quote acceptance for plain orders. Business days exclude weekends and US public holidays.
Where something outside our control delays production, we tell you as soon as we know and give a new date. A delay does not entitle you to cancel an order that has already been cut or printed.
Delivery
Delivery is free and tracked to any US address and takes 2 to 3 business days from dispatch. You are responsible for giving a correct address and any access notes on the quote.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes when the invoice is paid in full.
Reprints and refunds within 10 days
If an order arrives misprinted, miscut, short or damaged, report it within 10 days of delivery with photos and we reprint or refund the affected part. The full policy is on the reprints and refunds page.
Errors on an approved proof, color shift within trade tolerance on unbleached stock and paper used past its typical heat limit are not defects. Correct orders are cut to order and cannot be returned.
Artwork rights and food-contact use
You keep ownership of your artwork. By sending it you confirm you have the right to print it and you grant us a license to reproduce it on your order and to keep it on file for reorders. We do not use it elsewhere.
We print food-safe soy and water-based inks on the side of the sheet that faces away from the food. Parchment is intended for oven and air fryer use within the typical heat limits stated on the product pages, with food on it, and never under a broiler, on an open flame or in contact with a heating element. How you use it in your kitchen is your responsibility.
Limits of liability and governing law
Our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it. We are not liable for lost sales, spoiled food, labor or other indirect losses arising from a late, short or defective order. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the contract is formed. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable the rest still applies.
Questions about our terms
How long is a written parchment quote valid?
Until the date printed on the quote. After that, ask for a refreshed quote and we confirm the price and lead time again in writing.
When does a parchment order become a binding contract?
When you accept the quote in writing, or approve the proof, and we issue the invoice. Before that nothing is cut or charged.
Can I cancel a parchment order after approving the proof?
Ask at once. If cutting or printing has not started we can usually stop it. Once the paper is cut or printed the order stands.
When is the parchment invoice due?
On the terms stated on the invoice itself, which you receive after approving the quote and the proof. We may hold dispatch until it is paid.
Who owns the artwork printed on my parchment?
You do. You give us a license to print it on your order and keep it for reorders, and we do not use it anywhere else.
Can printed parchment be used in direct contact with food?
The inks are food-safe soy and water-based and sit on the side that faces away from the food. Use the sheet within its typical heat limit with food on it.
What happens if production runs past 4 to 6 business days?
We tell you as soon as we know and give a new date. Our liability is limited to the order price, so lost sales or spoiled food are not covered.
Which law governs the parchment terms of sale?
The laws of the United States and the state in which the contract is formed.
Can the terms change after I accept a parchment quote?
No. The terms in force when you accept the quote apply to that order. Changes posted later apply to later orders.
Does approving the parchment proof mean I accept the terms?
Yes. Approving the proof, or accepting the quote in writing, is acceptance of these terms for that order.
